Tsukihime is an urban action-horror eroge originally released December 29, 2000 and was Type-Moon first visual novel. It was a huge success in the doujin scene, and is still considered to be highly influential.

The story centers around a high school boy, named Shiki Tohno, who's returning to live with the wealthy family he was estranged from. Said estrangement was caused by an accident in his childhood that nearly ended his life and left him with chronic anemia. However, after the accident, he also gained the strange ability to see lines of death on everything around him. When these lines are traced or cut, the object they're on is immediately killed or destroyed.

Despite this, Shiki still tries his best to live a normal life. But between his return home and an encounter with an ethereal woman dressed in white, normalcy begins to crack around him and he's thrown into a world of the supernatural- a struggle between vampires.

Tsukihime is currently receiving a modern remake with new art, rewritten routes, and removed erotic content. The first half, -A piece of blue glass moon-, released in 2021. The second half, -The other side of red garden-, is currently in development with an unknown release date.
